PROCC Academic Production: Research, Publications and Human Resources Training

PROCC academic production is a pillar that drives research and the generation of knowledge in the health field both inside and outside Fiocruz. The team of researchers is dedicated to producing and disseminating information through academic and scientific activities. Here are the main aspects of PROCC academic production:

 

1. Publications in Journals
PROCC researchers contribute to the scientific literature with publications in renowned journals that address various topics related to health and scientific computing.

 

2. Bibliographic Production
As well as scientific articles, PROCC stands out in the production of books and book chapters. The participation of the programme team is a reference for other professionals and academics.

 

3. Human Resources Training
PROCC is involved in training future academic and professional leaders through the involvement of its members in postgraduate programmes. The team has 13 researchers who act as teachers, offering guidance and training to prepare masters and PhDs in scientific computing applied to the health field.

 

4. Postgraduate Programmes
The team takes part in several postgraduate programmes at Fiocruz and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), including:
•    Fiocruz: Pharmaceutical Sciences, Public Health Epidemiology, Biodiversity and Health, Tropical Medicine, Computational Biology and Systems, Clinical Research in Infectious Diseases.
•    UFRJ: Nanobiosystems, Pharmaceutical Sciences.

 

5. Publishing
The commitment to academic quality is also reflected in the role of the people who ACT as editors in influential journals such as Cadernos de Saúde Pública and Memórias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz.
