Library network
The Fiocruz Libraries Network, coordenated by the Institute of Scientific and Technological Information and Communication in Health (ICICT), gathers thousands of publications adquired since the foundation of the institution, at 1900. The network integrates libraries situated at Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Manaus, Recife, Brasília and at several documentation centers.
The website of the libraries network gathers information about each library and the services they offer, as literature search, local and remote query, home loan, interlibrary loan and user training. At the web site, you can also know the list of current journals and other information about the network.
The project aims to preserv the valuable collection of the Rare Publications Section of the Biomedical Science Library at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and permits the access to this knowledge
