Digital Laboratory of Rare Collection arises to implement the concept of preservation and access to treasures of Rare Publications Section from Biomedical Science Library situated at Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. Thus making possible the preservation of the information and the access to it at the same time.The online availability provides an easy consultation with different portable devices, making the access more interactive and flexible regarding the traditional visit to a library.

Thinking about new ways of preservation and access to the previously acquired knowledge is as important as the production of new knowledge.
