The 2030 Agenda and the COVID-19 Pandemics: existing challenges and contribution for a better world Date: 11 November 2020 Time: 08.00 - 10.00 am EST Background The FIOCRUZ's Center for Global Health (Center for International Relations in Health - CRIS/FIOCUZ) holds the series of events named "José Roberto Ferreira" in honor of its co-founder. This series addresses essential topics for Global Health and health diplomacy since September 2020. The previous virtual meetings have analyzed themes such as Health and Migration, the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, One Health in the Global Context, among others. In this session, the seminars will address the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the COVID-19 Pandemic era. Objective In the fifth year of implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the year of the celebration of the UN 75th anniversary, this session will examine the existing challenges for the implementation of the Agenda before the Pandemic and how this international agreement could facilitate post-pandemic recovery at the national and global level. Audience The seminars are directed to the global health community at FIOCRUZ, Brazil and the Region of the Americas in general, including government, non-government and academia.
