Applications open: 5th International refresher course in immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology and histopathology for the diagnosis of infectious diseases

The Evandro Chagas National Institute of Infectious Diseases (INI/Fiocruz) is open for applications for the selection process of the 5th International Refresher Course in Immunohistochemistry, Molecular Pathology and Histopathology for the Diagnosis of Infectious Diseases, held in partnership with the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC/USA). The target audience is undergraduate healthcare professionals, postgraduate students and those who work/wish to work in the field of pathological anatomy. Registration will be open from November 1, 2023 to November 22, 2023.

The course aims to promote the updating of undergraduate healthcare professionals, especially those who work or wish to work in the field of pathological anatomy and the techniques involved in this area, focused on the histopathological diagnosis of infectious agents in human beings and animals.

There are 200 vacancies. The total course load is 20 hours, distributed in classes that will take place synchronously on the Zoom Platform, Moodle and the Institute's YouTube channel. Classes will be held in both Portuguese and English, with simultaneous subtitled translation.

The coordination is under the responsibility of Prof. Rodrigo Menezes – deputy coordinator of INI's Master's, Academic Doctoral and Postdoctoral programs.
