It is the responsibility of the Vice Presidency of Management and Institutional Development (VPGDI) to articulate the democratic and participatory governance system of Fiocruz with the strategic management model. This is done through policies, programs, projects and mechanisms that promote institutional strengthening.
Among VPGDI activities are the creation, development and improvement of incremental and innovative governance and management tools. Its main goal is to make the management performance result in organizational growth and sustainability.
The functional structure is composed by technical and administrative units [General Coordination of Administration (Cogead), General Coordination of Personnel Management (Cogepe), General Coordination of Information Technology (Cogetic), General Coordination of Campi Infrastructure (Cogic), General Coordination of Strategic Planning (Cogeplan)], Fiocruz Coordination of Quality (Cquali), and bodies of direct assistance to the Presidency: the Federal Attorney’s Office (PF) and Internal Audit (Audin).
VPGDI is also responsible for the executive dialogue of Fiocruz Presidency with the management collaboration entities, namely: in the area of health services with Oswaldo Cruz Institute of [supplementary medical care (Fiosaúde); in the complementary area of retirements, benefits and pensions, with Oswaldo Cruz Institute of Social Security (Fioprev); and with the Foundation for the Scientific and Technological Development in Health (Fiotec) to support research and technological development projects of Fiocruz.
