Paulo Carvalho, researcher at the Carlos Chagas Institute / Fiocruz Paraná, was one of the two winners of the Pasteur Network Talent 2019 award. The award ceremony took place during the 51st annual meeting of directors of the International Network of the Pasteur Institute, held from 12 to 15 November at the Pasteur Center in the Republic of Cameroon.
The goal of the award is to acknowledge and support career development for researchers with high scientific potential and international leadership among the 33 institutions that make up the network.
This is the first time Fiocruz is awarded this acknowledgment. Paulo Carvalho, chief of the Computational and Structural Proteomic laboratory, was the only scientist nominated by Fiocruz, after being selected in an internal process by Fiocruz Global Health Center (Cris/Fiocruz).
