Fiocruz and Caring Cross announce agreement to CAR-T therapy in Brazil and Latin America
The collaboration, announced with the presence of Brazilian minister of Health, aims to develop local manufacturing of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell and stem cell gene therapies for oncology, infectious, and genetic diseases in Brazil, including CAR-T cell therapies for leukemia, lymphoma, and HIV infection

Research shows gradual drop in fertility rates around the world
A study published in the The Lancet points out that, by the year 2100, only 6 (3%) out of 204 countries will have levels of births for sustainable population replacement. The paper analyzes data from 1950 to 2021
Study: Yanomamis from nine villages harassed by illegal mining are contaminated by mercury
The highest levels of exposure were detected in indigenous people living in the villages closest to the illegal gold mines in the Amazon. It increases the risk of illness among children, especially under the age of 5
